St. Ignatios Melkite Greek Catholic Church
in Catholic
The Melkite Greek Catholic Church is one of 22 Eastern Churches in union with the Roman Catholic Church. It is based out of Damascus, Syria, and traces its origins to Antioch where the followers of Jesus were first called “Christians” (Acts 11:26), and where St. Ignatios, our parish patron, first called Christians “Catholic” (Letter to the Smyrnaeans, Ch. 8).
