View Full Post   More than likely you have a nativity set displayed in your home for Christmas. It’s a sweet reminder of the true meaning for the season. When I was a child I loved to pick up and hold the tiny porcelain baby Jesus in the palm of my hand. I loved playing with baby dolls and I loved that we were celebrating the birth of a baby. I didn’t pay much attention to the Mary and Joseph figures though. Unfortunately, I think their importance often gets overlooked. I’ve read the story about Jesus coming from heaven to earth countless times but recently something about Mary came to my attention that I never noticed before.

View Full Post   Postponed travel plans, pulling an all-nighter and a complete disruption of my weekend activities were not my idea of how our vacation would end. This past Friday my husband and I were returning from visiting family in Wisconsin for Thanksgiving. We thought we were being clever taking a late Friday night flight home, avoiding all the post-holiday weekend travelers at the airport. What we couldn’t plan for was fog that prevented us from landing in Augusta.
