Hugs for Soldiers

Posted on Jan 20, 2020 by John Bryant

This week, buy a few Valentine cards…for our troops. An organization called Hugs for Soldiers will send them to service members around the world.

The deadline is January 24 so buy a bunch and fill them out this week. You don’t address or seal the envelopes…just put all the cards in one package and mail them to Hugs for Soldiers, and they’ll take care of the rest.

-Send a card, handwritten letter, or note. Envelopes are not required. If individual envelopes are used, do not seal them for security reasons.

-Do not use glitter or materials that easily break off during the two-week shipment.

-You can include your school, church or organization name, address and/or email contact on each card so recipients can write back if they have an opportunity. Cards from children/students must include a first name only.

-Photos of the sender, sender’s family, church, or classroom participants can add a personal touch to your card.

-Keep your messages positive! Start with a salutation, such as “Dear Hero” or “Dear Brave One.” All cards will be screened.

Bundle cards and send in a single large envelope or box containing all of the Valentines to:
