View Full Post   Postponed travel plans, pulling an all-nighter and a complete disruption of my weekend activities were not my idea of how our vacation would end. This past Friday my husband and I were returning from visiting family in Wisconsin for Thanksgiving. We thought we were being clever taking a late Friday night flight home, avoiding all the post-holiday weekend travelers at the airport. What we couldn’t plan for was fog that prevented us from landing in Augusta.

I love gathering with family for Thanksgiving and celebrating Christmas but the preparations can send me into a tail spin if I’m not careful. I’ve learned a few things over the years that have helped me to keep things in perspective. After all, it’s all about HIM, not us.

Whether you’re dealing with a health issue, a broken relationship, loss of a loved one or are struggling financially. I don’t know about you, but when I’m in the thick of a trial, I find it so hard to thank God for it, even though I know He uses all things for my good and His glory.

View Full Post   Can there be too much of a good thing? Ask a kid head to the fair and they’ll probably tell you ‘no’. As an adult, you know that if you binge on corn dogs, cotton candy and some funnel cake and then hop on some fun rides, you’ll feel sick in no time. Initially that all sounds so good until your body shows you otherwise.

View Full Post   Have you ever seen photographs of individual grains of sand under a microscope? You would never know you were looking at sand unless someone told you. Some grains look like bright colored stones and others look like delicate icicles. Some look like tiny corncobs, snowflakes and precious gems. Some grains are square, others are round and some are flat. No two grains are the same.
