With the changes going on around us due to the coronavirus, this is the time for us to follow the command of Jesus when He said "Love your neighbor as yourself" in Mark 12:31. Below you will find opportunities to help our neighbors in the CSRA at a moment when they need it most.

CSRA COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund: This is a joint effort of United Way of the CSRA and the Community Foundation for the Central Savannah River Area. Donations will help with housing support, utilities and transportation assistance and other basic needs for those who need it now.

Golden Harvest Food Bank COVID-19 Response Campaign: Golden Harvest Food Bank is helping provide for the food needs of seniors, children and families looking for assistance.

Diablo's Food TruckThey are providing free meals for children affecting by the school closures and welcome monetary donations from the public.

Columbia County Child Meal Distribution: Churches are working together to distribute meals to Columbia County public school students. Contact Pastor Chuck Gordon at chuckg@greenbrier.church for more information.

Richmond County School System: They are looking for help from community partners and churches to distribute meals to families who are homebound and can't get to a distribution site.

Broad Street Ministry Center: They are in urgent need of donations for their food pantry. They are located at 20 Broad Street in Downtown Augusta. Their number is 706-722-5999 or e-mail them at broadstreetministry@comcast.net.

Shepeard Community Blood Center: There continues to be an urgent need for blood donors to help supply the needs of local hospitals. Visit one of their centers in Augusta, Evans or Aiken.

Community Ministry of North Augusta: They give bags of groceries to those in need and could donations of eggs, sticks of butter, American cheese slices, hot dogs, spaghetti sauce, canned tuna, large shampoo bottles and bathroom cleaner.

Augusta University Health System: The hospital is accepting medical supply donations, meal donations for staff and pre-packaged beverage and snack donations for staff. Click here for details on how to donate.
