April Sather

Homegrown in the Midwest, I am a proud Wisconsinite (Go Badgers). I grew up in a small community that embraced the farm life. Just like you might expect of a Wisconsin girl, I love cheese and ice cream. You will always find those two things on my grocery list. I also love spending time with my family. Some of our best memories have been made at my favorite place on earth, the beach.  

Prior to joining the team at 88.3 WAFJ, I worked at 89Q Radio in Schofield, Wisconsin for over 12 years. During my time there I held various positions: office manager, production manager, morning show co-host and promotions director. Previous to that I was an advocate at a local crisis pregnancy center for 3 ½ years. God used my past battles for His glory there and created a passion in me for ministry. I was raised in a Christian home but I did not know Christ as my Savior until I went through my own crisis pregnancy. At 20 years of age I became a mom and an heir of the kingdom.

My husband, Mike, and I have been married for over 25 years. He has been my biggest supporter as we serve our Lord together. God blessed us with two beautiful daughters, Kali and Keagan. Kali lives in Wisconsin with her husband, Jake. They've given us two precious grandchildren, Paisley Grace and Jett-Jacob. Our youngest, Keagan works for the Greater Augusta FCA and lives in the CSRA.

Everyday is a gift and I want to spend the time I have been given sharing the greatest gift, Jesus Christ, with others. It is a joy to be able to do that with the staff at 88.3 WAFJ.
