About Ethan Milburn
Hey everyone! I was born and raised in the small town of Bolivar, Missouri. (Yeah, I’m a long way from home here in the south!) After high school, I moved 30 miles south to Springfield, Missouri so I could attend Missouri State University to get my bachelor’s degree. My parents — Bryan and Tammy Milburn — have always put God first when it came to raising me and my three sisters: Whitney, Stephanie, and Olivia. Now, our family has expanded and I am the “fun” uncle to my nieces and nephew: Zoey, Millie, and Jaxon.
I met my beautiful wife Breea in an acting class during college. Our first date story is… kinda wild. (Feel free to ask about it when you see me—we love to retell the tale!) My wife has a super lazy bearded dragon named Mushu (no offense, Mushu), and I have a little dog named Kairi. The dragon and dog… don’t associate. Ever. (It’s better that way.)
I got my start in radio back in 2018 right after Breea and I got married. I started by doing Traffic/Weather for 88.3 The Wind & 89.1 KWFC in Springfield, Missouri — which just so happens to be a “sister station” of 88.3 WAFJ. Later on, I got to host my first ever radio show— an overnight show on KWFC. But after about eight months, I became the Afternoon Host for The Wind.
Breea and I are adventurers! We love to explore new places, but we frequently visit Disney. (It’s Breea’s fault that I’m as passionate about visiting the parks as I am. Thanks, honey.) We have always lived in Southwest Missouri and are super close to both our families — who live back in Missouri. But we felt that God was calling us to spread the good news of Jesus to the CSRA, and we’re very grateful for all the love and support we received while making this huge transition. I am very excited to be your Afternoon Host on 88.3 WAFJ! Let’s have some fun!
