Johanna Antes

You may think of me as the “story lady” but my name is Johanna and I am Director of Support for 88.3 WAFJ. God spent more than 20 years training me for this position by having me work in broadcast fundraising at various Public Television and Radio stations. That training took me from Rochester, New York; Minnesota and Florida before He would trust me with the ministry of encouraging His people to support 88.3 WAFJ.

People ask me if I ever get tired of asking for money. My response is that I don’t ask people for money…I invite people to partner with God in what HE is doing through this ministry. And I never get tired of sharing the outcome of that partnership…because they are stories of people who are encouraged, given hope and shown the love of Jesus as a result of the gifts that are given. 

I have been married for more than 36 years to my wonderful husband James…and yes, we really were high school sweethearts. He loves being a phone partner during our fundraising events and praying with people who call. We have three wonderful daughters and sons-in-law and six amazing beautiful and talented grandchildren. They frequently provide me with inspiration for the stories you hear so you’ll see what I mean! I love being a wife, mother, grandmother and follower of Christ. And, I love being able to share life with you on 88.3 WAFJ.
