2024 Olympians Giving God The Glory

Jesus Shines in the City of Lights

There has been a lot of controversy surrounding the 2024 Olympics, and we're only one week into the games. While many viewers found aspects of the opening ceremonies offensive and sacrilegious, athletes are proving that Jesus is still shining brightly in the City of Lights.

16-year old Reyssa Leal of Brazil won the bronze medal for women's skateboarding and made the most of her moment in the winner's circle by quoting John 14:6 - Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life - in sign language.

Another Brazilian olympic athlete, Gabriel Medina, gave God credit for his surfing accomplishments in an Instagram post. The photo, captured at just the right moment, shows Medina mid air, pointing upward. In the caption, he quoted Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength."
