Description:
Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church's MDO & Preschool is looking for a classroom PK4 assistant starting January 5th. Our program runs from 8:45am-1:15pm. This classroom is open on Monday-Friday. Our school year runs through May 15th (with holidays and breaks built into the calendar). Our Mission Statement: Reid MDO and Preschool recognizes every person as a child of God and carries a commitment to teach, support, and care for each child, with the love of Jesus Christ, each and every day. Through the MDO and Preschool, we extend this nurturing ministry of the church to children, families, and the community to provide a loving, Christian, quality environment, and education to young developing minds. Responsibilities & Duties -Provide a loving, Christian environment that is nurturing & developmentally appropriate. -Assist children during circle time, arts and crafts, center time learning through play, lunchtime and recess. -Maintain open communication with children, families, staff and directors. -Help maintain the health and safety of the environment.
Qualifications:
Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED. • Must be able to lift, bend, & sit on floor. • Must exhibit strong classroom management & flexibility with daily schedule. • Must maintain a positive attitude while working with the children and other staff. • Experience working with young children (preferred but not a prerequisite) • CPR/First Aid (preferred but not a prerequisite) • Clean background • Christian foundation
