Gratitude In Every Season

Posted on Nov 05, 2025 by Jenny Bender

Thanksgiving is a beautiful time to pause and reflect on God’s goodness—but if we’re honest, gratitude doesn’t always come naturally. Sometimes, life feels more like a list of “what’s missing” than “what’s been given.” But the truth is, gratitude isn’t about pretending everything’s perfect. It’s about recognizing that God’s faithfulness runs deeper than our circumstances. Even in the hard seasons, His love endures.

When we stop and name our blessings—big and small—it changes something inside us. Gratitude shifts our focus from what’s lacking to what’s lasting. It helps us see that the same God who provided in the past is still providing today. Maybe it’s through a friend who checks in, a sunrise that lifts your spirit, or the peace that comes when you pray. Every good thing is a reminder that He’s near.

Gratitude isn’t limited to a holiday—it’s a way of life that keeps our hearts soft and our spirits full. Thanksgiving is more than a meal—it’s a mindset. And the more we practice it, the more we see that God truly is good, all the time.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His faithful love endures forever.” – Psalm 107:1 (CSB)
