Hope After Helene

 

Join 88.3 WAFJ on Saturday, Sept. 27th, along with local churches, non-profits and community partners, in celebrating all God has done for the CSRA since Hurricane Helene's destruction. 

In collaboration with Convoy of Hope, Hope After Helene is a community-wide resource day centered on recovery, unity, and long-term healing following the devastation of Hurricane Helene. 

The day offers food, supplies, and recovery support, along with a Resource Family Festival to celebrate resilience and community. 

A drive-thru resource distribution will take place from 8am-11am at these host school sites: 

  • CROSS CREEK HIGH
  • GLENN HILLS MIDDLE
  • GROVETOWN HIGH
  • MARTINEZ ELEMENTARY 


The day will wrap up with a Resource Family Festival from 4pm-7pm at Project Life located at 1760 Gordon Hwy in Augusta. During that time there will be distribution of groceries, hot dogs & concessions, a family zone with games and a community connections area to check out. Be sure to stop by the 88.3 WAFJ tent to see Ethan & April from the Morning Show and register to win prize pack that includes a NOAA weather radio and a portable car jump-starter/power bank.
