Junk Removal and Demolition Technician

Description:
We are looking to hire a responsible, motivated, and hard working individual to serve in our company as a junk removal and demolition technician. This is a job that is challenging, fun, and rewarding in a company that is unique, growing, and well respected in the area. We are a small family owned company and operate from the foundation of Christian values and character and treat every employee and customer with value and respect. The position is full time, 35-40 hours per week. The position requires the person to perform a wide variety of physically demanding tasks such as lifting and moving heavy furniture and appliances, removing and loading various types of residential and commercial junk, cutting and loading trees and brush, sorting and preparing scrap metal, using a wide range of hand tools and power tools. This person will also perform demolition of different types of structures, and be required to do all types of manual labor while working mostly outside, year-round, in all weather conditions. Other than riding in the truck from job to job, the work is mostly manual labor and can be difficult at times. Every day is something a little different. Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should: -be self motivated and energetic -be hard working, even in difficult situations -be flexible -be punctual and reliable -have reliable transportation to get to work (North Augusta or Aiken) -be in good physical shape -have basic mechanical knowledge -know how to use basic hand tools and power tools -be able to work outside in the summer heat and humidity -be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs alone, and up to 200 lbs with a helper) -display appropriate etiquette around customers and coworkers (kind, respectful, no profanity) -have a good driving record -have experience with customer service -understand the importance of and know how to act professionally at all times -be able to think and work independently without supervision -be able to learn new tasks quickly and apply what has been learned in future situations -not have an aversion to doing manual labor -not have an aversion to getting sweaty and/or dirty while working -not have an aversion with nastiness (things that are gross and repulsive)
