Face Time With Jesus

I think it’s one of the best inventions of all time; I’m so grateful for FaceTime! With the push of a button, we’re instantly connected with others through technology. Being able to video chat with our daughter and grandkids in Wisconsin makes it seem like were just a few miles apart instead of 1,100. We call each other almost daily and I rarely, if ever, miss a call…Mimi has run and jumped a couch to talk to her grandbabies.   I love it when my granddaughter, Paisley, shows me the latest project she made at school and my grandson, Jett, blows me a kiss and hugs the phone. Even though were not physically together very often, FaceTime helps us to maintain our relationship and stay close, despite the distance. Likewise, prayer is how we stay plugged in to Jesus.

Prayer is a direct line to Him. You don’t need a fancy smart phone to reach him either, just an open heart. You could call on Him 100 times a day and He’d never get tired of hearing from you. He never misses a call either. He is always available!  Jesus loves talking with you and is the best friend you’ll ever have. Don’t ever hesitate to go to Him with anything…He can handle it all: the good, the bad and the ugly.

Last weekend I flew to Wisconsin and spent some time with my grandkids. As I walked up the sidewalk to their home, the front door opened and two jumping, joyful toddlers welcomed me with overflowing excitement. Being able to hug on my babies was the best; nothing compares to when we’re together! We see each other approximately every three to four months but because we talk on a regular basis, they know who I am. Likewise, when we have a close relationship with Jesus, we understand who He is and who He desires us to be. I can only imagine what it will be like to meet Him face to face one day. I envision it being like when my grands see me, jumping into my arms with lots of love and hugs. I love the painting (below) by Kerolos Safwat! It's called "First Day in Heaven". I pray your face to face encounter, "Face Time", with Jesus, looks like this one day.

Do you have a relationship with Jesus? Is He your best friend? Do you go to Him each day and talk to Him? If you can’t answer a confident “YES” to all of these questions, call our prayer line and they’ll talk to you more about having a thriving relationship with Jesus. Our volunteers can pray with you and for you as well. Call any time day or night at 877-800-7729. This resource is available 24/7.
