Remembering Judge Caprio

Judge Frank Caprio, affectionately known as "America's Nicest Judge," is home in Heaven after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Judge Caprio was a municipal judge in Providence, Rhode Island and went viral online for his compassionate approach to justice. 

Caprio loved Jesus, and spoke openly about how faith guided him in his life, both in and out of the courtroom. Upon sharing the news of his cancer diagnosis, he asked friends & followers for just one thing: prayer. "I believe the power of prayer and I have great faith in God," he said. Even days before his death, he shared an update on social media, requesting prayer. 

Judge Caprio's people-first approach was so beloved that it became an entire tv series, Caught In Providence. People who faced his judgements were moved to tears by his kindness & compassion. His loss is being mourned by fans and followers online, remembering some of his most memorable moments in the courtroom. Many remark that they hope his legacy of leading with humility, kindness and compassion will be continued on through others in positions of power and leadership.
